Infantry, Cavalry, Field Artillery, Coast Artillery, Engineers Corps, Quartermaster Corps, Medical Dept., Motor Transport Corps, Air Service, Tank Corps, Signal Corps. Enlistments are for 1 and 3 years. Men with former service may enlist for 1 year, others 3 years. No Reserve. Men between ages 18 and 40 wanted. Apply Army Recruiting Station. 218 W, Franklin St., El Paso, Texas or Albuquerque, N.M. - Tucumcari, N.M. - Pecos, Tex. San Angelo, Tex. - Amarillo, Tex. - Sweetwater, Tex. Open Day - Night - Sundays. The piece was printed by Ellis Print on 11” x 7” heavier off-white stock. There is a note written in ink on the back, “This was posted up, May 19, 1919. Months after warfare ceased!!”. World War I officially ended on November 11, 1918 with the signing of the armistice. Round holes have been punched in at all four corners for pinning up the announcement; the corner near the lower right hole has a tear where the piece was pulled down from where it was posted. Scarce piece of WWI regional military history. Vg condition.
