(Texas – Amarillo). The diary of Roy Pect of Amarillo, Texas on his trip primarily looking for antiques to purchase and to sell. He left Amarillo, Texas on February 13, 1937 and returning home on May 31, 1937. The trip involved leaving Amarillo, going to Tulsa, Oklahoma; Springfield, Illinois; South Bend, Indiana; Chicago; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Kansas City, Missouri and home. The entries include going to farm sales and purchasing and selling antiques; entries about the dust storms, Amelia Airhart’s crash in which she was not hurt, a fire at a school in London, Texas where 450 children died, the stress of trying to find a job plus various other interesting day to day activities while on the road. Six ring binder (3 ½ x 5 ¼ inches), several pages pulled but complete, very legible with majority being written in pencil and overall in vg cond.
