ARMOSTONE SUPER-GRADE REINFORCED CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION

(Armostone – Concrete) BUILD IT OF CONCRETE. ARMOSTONE SUPER-GRADE REINFORCED CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION IS FIREPROOF, WEATHERPROOF, EVERLASTING- SEND FOR ARMOSTONE BOOKLET. Concrete Housing Corporation; Wood and Seals. 1924.
Very scarce salesman sample photo catalog demonstrating the advantages of the Armostone System. Armostone was a pre-fabricated wall system composed of 1 inch thick precast panels three feet wide by story height using cement mortar to seal the panels once installed. The 22 linen backed photos show numerous examples of large Craftsman bungalow, small homes, plus different types of garages and small service stations which could quickly be constructed wit Armostone. Four of the photos show how well the buildings would survive after a fire with the structure remaining relatively untouched while the wooden doors and trim pieces were burned. The Armostone system would continue to be marketed by the Concrete Housing Corp. through the 1960’s.
