Elizabeth City, North Carolina letter
A very interesting and lengthy letter written from Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Roland Thompson evicently the owner of a shingle mill is writing John mcDowell of Milroy, Mifflin Co. Pennsylvania. The letter details a fire that destroyed part of the city, a masquerade ball and facts about shingle mills of which Roland Thompson was a least part owner. Apparently John mcDowell also had some investment in the shingle mill. Transmittal envelope present. Very legible, 8 pages and in vg cond.
