SALE OF INHERITED INDIAN LANDS AND NON-COMPETENT LANDS. CHEYENNE AND ARAPAHO INDIAN AGENCY. DARLINGTON, OKLAHOMA. A broadside (7 1/2 X 17 inches) stating the allocation of lands in Cheyenne and Arapaho Indians in the Oklahoma coounties of Canadian, Blaine and Kingfisher. The descriptive columns are that of No., Description, Acres, Allottee, Heirs and lease Expires. Of the twenty-eight Indians named 8 are women with the accompanying information. Many listed had gone to Carlisle Indian School, Carlisle, Pennsylvania including Short neck (Aug. 31, 1882 to November 12, 1896, although not continuously); Julia Seward, Cheyenne, November 14, 1889 - April 21, 1892. The Arapaho Lula Blind attended between November 14, 1889 and September 17, 1890. Karl Sweezy (1879-1953) became an infoluential Arapaho painter and ledger artist.
