(Alaska) Rugg, S.M. A THRILLING STORY FROM ALASKA. Interdenominational Free Tract Society, 1913. 8 pages. illustrations. OCLC records only one copy at the Newberry Library from the Everett D. Graff Collection of Western Americana [#3602]. Besides being very rare, S.M. Rugg (born in 1834) tried silver mining in New Mexico, with initial great success and then the drop in price of silver led him to Colorado but in 1897 he went to Alaska to the Copper River country, lost his eyesight and found religion. A rare item of original Alaskan material. Expected minor wear, overall in vg cond.
