“Whereas, Napoleon B. Buford of Illinois, Erskine McClallen of Colorado, Joseph Beals, Elisha Wells and others of Massachusetts, having acquired a large mining property on both sides of South Clear Creek, at Colona Bar, in the Territory of Colorado, for the purpose of forming a Corporation under the provisions of the sixty-first chapter of the General Statutes of Massachusetts, in order to mine for gold and other ores and to develop the property. The corporation to be named and known as "The Federal Union Mining Company." The booklet contains seventeen by-laws that have been unanimously adopted by the officers and directors of the company.
