Fairbury Bull Windmill Weight. Cast iron silhouette with faded name Fairbury on both sides. C. 1910-1920. 18 1/2" high x 24 1/2" long x 5/8" depth including mount. The name Fairbury proudly promotes the town in Nebraska where the mills were that manufactured the weights. Fairbury Iron Works was founded in 1890 and manufactured its first windmill in 1899. In 1900 the company was renamed Fairbury Windmill Company and continued production until the company closed in 1961.
