First edition of this scarce real estate brochure advertising rustic cabins and bungalows on beautiful Crystal Lake between the towns of Tolland and Stafford in Connecticut. The area was a destination resort which became very popular for budget conscious auto travelers during the Great Depression, with the nearby Sandy Beach Ballroom attracting big bands such as Duke Ellington, Guy Lombardo, and Cab Calloway, as well as a roller-skating rink. Wendell (fl. 1920-1956) ran her bungalow retreat featuring The Love Nest, The Easy Way, The King Tut, The Birch Cabin, and others. No copies located in Worldcat.
